Wilson & Wilson Co., L.P.A. was founded in 1954 in Cleveland, and has since expanded its reach throughout the state of Ohio and beyond, serving a wide range of clients in the United States and abroad.  We primarily serve as boutique outside corporate counsel and high-end strategic advisors to businesses for whom it is not economically feasible or desirable to hire full-time in-house counsel, or who might otherwise be interested in replacing (or supplementing) their existing in-house team.

We provide true end-to-end legal representation through the life of a given legal matter.  Unlike many of our competitors, we advocate on behalf of clients in transactional, litigation, and management advisory matters as appropriate.

Our Competitive Advantage

We are fundamentally a “boutique” firm, with the ability to provide cutting-edge, sophisticated legal representation (typical of larger firms) at reasonable costs, while maintaining a high level of flexibility— as a small firm, our overhead costs are lower than our larger competitors.  This not only serves as a built-in cost-control mechanism, but also ensures that we can commit significant resources towards each client.  Our ability to maintain tight cost-control schemes is what enables us to provide detail-oriented, tailored advocacy.

Our firm is always looking to new ways of efficiently handling complex legal matters, and to that end, we employ cutting-edge technology both internally and in our engagements with clients.  By transitioning our office into a more virtually-connected space, we are able to offer more flexible representation.

Representative Matters

Here at Wilson & Wilson, we have a long and successful track record in handling various litigation-related and transactional matters. We also assist entrepreneurs starting new business ventures, protecting their investments and downsizing when required.  Further — since our founding — we have served as both defense and plaintiff’s counsel.  It is our belief that these broad experiences have granted us valuable insight into the high-value strategic anchors in a given legal matter. Simply put, we are able to quickly identify the critical issues and execute a strategy that is designed to efficiently and effectively secure a favorable result.

This comprehensive approach to litigation has earned us significant results over the years (and in a wide range of disputes).  Representative matters include the following:

Personal Injury

We represented the plaintiff in the case of Welsh v. Woods, which centered around a serious automobile accident.  Through litigation, we were able to secure a judgment of $1.5M on behalf of our client.

We represented the plaintiff in the landmark medical malpractice case of Dimora v. Cleveland Clinic Found., which centered around the falsification of medical records.  In this case, we were able to secure a judgment in favor of our client that included punitive damages.

Breach of Contract

We represented the plaintiff in Selectronics v. Millenia Group, a breach of contract dispute involving a payment of commissions.  Ultimately, we were able to secure a favorable judgment of $360K on behalf of our client.

Intellectual Property

We served as plaintiff’s counsel in the case of Chemence, Inc. v. Doherty, which involved the misappropriation of trade secrets.  We secured a judgment of $5.9M on behalf of our client.

Commercial Litigation

We successfully defended our client against opposing claims tallying up to $20M in damages in Medline Industries v. Chemence Medical Products.

Corporate

We successfully negotiated the purchase of a divestiture mandated by the Federal Trade Commission regarding the merger of two entities that would have caused an industry monopoly.

Physician Contracts and Disputes

We have negotiated numerous physician contracts, worth millions of dollars, and have defended medical residents and medical fellows whose privileges were unjustly revoked by their respective programs.
